Client
MartiDerm is a leading brand in dermocosmetics specialising in skin care since 1952. What began with a pharmacy in Barcelona has become an international company that markets its products in 30 countries.
Challenge
To design a climate action plan to align the company’s objectives with international emission reduction targets.
What was done?
Faced with a sector immersed in a process of improvement to become more transparent and committed to circularity and decarbonisation, following the guidelines of the United Nations, a Climate Action Plan was drawn up to define the objectives for reducing greenhouse gas emissions in the medium and long term, and the actions to be carried out to achieve them.
In addition, to reinforce and publicise the company’s commitment to international emission reduction targets, the company is in the process of joining the Science Based Targets (SBTi) initiative , which promotes the establishment of science-based targets as a strategy to drive the transition of productive sectors towards a low-carbon economy.
Results
1
Climate Action Plan created collaboratively with the different departments and management of the organisation.
8

15
main lines of action identified that address the challenge of decarbonising MartiDerm in the medium and long term.
Conclusions
The project has served to provide MartiDerm with a roadmap to tackle the decarbonisation of the company over the next few years, and from here to start implementing it and monitor the improvements achieved.
