Client
The Àmbit B30 Association is a group of public and private institutions with the capacity to create synergies that promote the B30 territory through the collaboration between various agents.
The B30 area is the economic engine of Catalonia. Around the B30 axis are located the main mobility infrastructures, more than 60 research centres and a large and diverse business fabric of more than 30,000 companies.
Challenge
The circular economy model is presented as a decisive opportunity for the region’s companies to gain competitiveness and drive resilient and transformative business models, and for the region’s citizens to have a better, healthier and more sustainable quality of life.
What was done?
To promote the transition towards a circular economy, a working group made up of the Associació Àmbit B30, the Fundació Forum Ambiental, Circle Economy and inèdit developed an analysis of the potential of the circular economy in the B30 region. The document “Area B30 Circular” sets out the circularity vision of the B30 region and its industrial fabric.
Based on the roadmap and the lessons learned from the first phase, and under the brand XAC B30 (B30 Circular Action Network), a new phase of the project begins with the aim of strengthening alliances and collaboration between the agents of change already working on the promotion of the circular economy within the B30 territory; offering training, capacity building and expert support, and creating a space that brings together new developments and resources in the circular economy.
