Introducing the new version of èdit, our environmental quantification tool

Ten years ago, inèdit launched the first version of èdit. Since then, 150 organisations have relied on it to measure and manage their environmental impacts. Now, after months of development, we present a new version of the platform: technically more robust, more intuitive to use, and ready to meet new regulatory and market demands.

At inèdit, we believe organisations need tools that go beyond one-off calculations and enable structured, traceable and decision-oriented environmental management. That is why èdit provides detailed and verifiable information on environmental impacts, allowing organisations to design, implement and monitor sustainability and decarbonisation plans with rigour.

The new version has been redesigned both in terms of architecture and functionality to enhance user experience and offer greater flexibility when structuring environmental analyses of organisations, products and services. It includes new user profiles — including supplier profiles — with rights and permissions tailored to each role, facilitating decentralised data collection and shared responsibility in data management.

Primary data are centralised in a single repository, strengthening traceability and simplifying documentary evidence in verification and audit processes. In addition, the platform integrates new automation features, such as:

With more than 20,000 emission factors from recognised sources and the expert support of the inèdit team, èdit provides a solid foundation for rigorous and detailed environmental analysis.

The tool enables impact assessment at organisation, product and service level, and is aligned with the main international standards, including ISO 14040, ISO 14064, ISO 14067, the GHG Protocol, ISO 14025 (EPDs), UNE-EN 15804 (Construction EPDs) and SBTi.

This new version consolidates èdit as a platform designed for organisations seeking to advance towards more strategic, transparent and data-driven environmental management.
