Uriach analyses all its packaging with sustainability criteria
Define a strategy that positions and marks Uriach's route to becoming a leader in sustainable packaging
Uriach is a health and wellness company with more than 185 years of history focused on Natural Consumer Healthcare –natural products based on sound science and innovation–.
Our eco-design team is working with Uriach on a sustainable packaging project. On the one hand, a diagnosis of all their primary and secondary packaging with a focus on its origin and end of life has been carried out and, on the other hand, a guide is being jointly created to eco-design their entire packaging system and to be used in the packaging design process of all Uriach brands.
- What are the most critical containers/packaging? What are the most used containers? What are the materials? What are the countries where each product is most sold? What regulations restricting redesign are common or specific to each country?
To design the guide, the project is developed through an eco-design methodology based on workshops and dynamics that allow questions to be asked, to know and understand the needs of the company, to create an atmosphere of proximity and, at the same time, for the Uriach team to feel fully involved in its project and its commitment to sustainability.
With these actions, the aim is to define a strategy that positions and marks Uriach’s route to becoming a leader in sustainable packaging aligned with the principles of the circular economy. And to contribute, together, to have not only a positive impact on people’s health but also on the planet.
