The conclusions and results of the B30 Circular Action Network project are presented

Promotion of an authentic collaboration for circularity

On 5 April, at a press conference at the Mollet del Vallès City Council’s Mollet Hub, we presented the results and conclusions of the second phase of the “Area B30 Circular” project.

Among the main conclusions, it emphasises the need to create real network collaborative work between the B30 administrations to promote projects with shared ambitions and long-term application horizons. The key agents of the network are identified, they are those who are already promoting circular economy strategies. However, a channel that unifies the communication and coordination between the different agents is still needed.

At the same time, the aim is to emphasise the obstacles encountered by the administrations’ technical staff in the implementation of circular strategies: shortcomings in training, difficulties in the activation of the industrial fabric, lack of real collaboration between municipalities when it comes to exchanging experiences and launching territorial initiatives.

Finally, value has been given to the amount of know-how transferred from knowledge centres, leaders of numerous eco-innovation initiatives, with the B30 territory being able to become an ideal testing ground to make the circular economy flourish.

The key agents of the territory

In short, the project has conceptualised and prepared two interactive maps that visually show some of the key actions and agents (administration, industry and innovative community) of the B30 territory on the issue of circularity.
