SEAT is a Spanish automobile brand belonging to the German Volkswagen Group and it has a presence in 75 countries.
The purpose of the project was to innovate the organisation’s capabilities and processes to make the transition from selling products to selling an ecosystem of products and services.
Challenge
Designing a sustainable business model based on the servitisation of vehicles in order to adapt to the consumer of the future.
What was done?
An eco-innovation roadmap focused on servitisation strategy was drawn up. This involved a business model that enables the alignment, in many cases, of business and environmental interests and at the same time, generate environmental benefits.

Conclusions
The “SEAT Eco-innovation Journey” project enabled the Company’s Environment Department to become a strategic agent for the future of the company, promoting the interchange of experiences between different areas of activity and aligning the participants’ vision of the need to pivot the business model towards a mobility services company.
